After a lot of thought and decision making this spring, I decided to discontinue doing any family or children’s photography sessions except in certain cases that would help me rebuild my portfolio with a new look. I am really drawn to the look of high stylized family sessions and I absolutely love photographing candid lifestyle sessions so I decided to change my business into what’s fun for me and focus on those two areas.

Early this summer I received a note from another photographer here in Ohio who wanted to have her family memories recorded…with her in the photo this time. Yay her!! 🙂 After explaining that I am only accepting specific portfolio building sessions, this mom decided to take advantage of the special pricing I’m offering and began planning her own stylized photography session with a vintage bicycle and picnic theme.

We sent countless emails back-and-forth putting together a stylized session that completely symbolized what her family loves to do together and that would also work for the vision I have for my photography business. Shawna did an amazing job of coordinating outfits, picnic items and even fitting in a vintage bicycle due to her husband’s love of biking. While dodging raindrops that evening I was able to capture some beautiful moments of them interacting together as a complete family…photographer mom included!
