Planning, attending and teaching at the I Heart Faces Photography Workshops is one of my very favorite parts of being a founder of I Heart Faces!
Our workshop in San Antonio last week was even more special because my daughter, Weslea, made the trip with me. She was the model for one of our stylized sessions that was based on the fairytale theme of Red Riding Hood.
Red Riding Hood Stylized Photography Session
Beautiful dress and cape were created and sewn by Sew Jewell.
While Red Riding Hood (and any other older children’s tale that one might read!) can have darker aspects to it’s story, we chose to focus on the beautiful clothing, the richness of the red fabric in the cape and the innocence of a little girl who found herself caught up in a fairytale wonderland. Weslea had a ball being a model and I know she absolutely loved working with other photographers that weren’t just her mom. When our new attendees arrived for the second day of the workshop, she literally was able to lead her session herself and by the end of that day had posed for six different sessions as Red Riding Hood.
I’m pretty sure that makes her an expert now. 😉
Stylized Photography Sessions are one of my very favorites things to shoot and I am currently completely rebuilding my children’s and family photography portfolio to only include stylized and lifestyle photography sessions. If you live in the Northeast Ohio area (or would like me to travel to your area!) and are interested in booking a stylized session, please just contact me. I am booking very limited sessions right now and am offering a special portfolio building rate for a short time.
Having this experience with my daughter was definitely one of the most wonderful things that has ever happened to us. We are both crossing our fingers that it might happen again soon. 🙂
