I have had great plans for almost three months now to put together a brand new look for my blog, to streamline everything and make it a bit more simple and classic instead of the cluttered look I had going on and (the biggest news of all!) to make the big switchover from Blogger to WordPress. Yes, I know…eeeek!
I was always a huge fan of Blogger and more than a little afraid of WordPress until we switched I Heart Faces over this past summer. Since then I have fallen in love with WordPress (the paid version, not the free version) and have loved the benefits it provides over Blogger.
So, the time has finally come…the switch has been made…and we have a brand new The Arthur Clan to ooh and ahh over. Isn’t it pretty?!
My new look would not have been possible without these amazing ladies who worked behind the scenes to make the move a fairly easy one:
-
• My Web Designer – Debbie from Lagniappe Marketing: If you are ever in the mood to redesign your blog, she is the girl for you. She came highly recommended to me from Cheryl at TidyMom and has by far exceeded any expectations I had. Wonderful work and lovely lady!
-
• My Graphic Designer – Misti Tracy: No matter what I threw at her, Misti was able to make it shine beautifully. Thank you so much for your patience with me Misti.
-
• My Dear Photographer Friend – Jessica Paige: The family session that we had with Jessica Paige in October ended up being the inspiration for my new blog design and graphics. Jess is pure magic when she has a camera in her hands and she captured our family perfectly.
-
• My Artist – Jean Scandlon: I really wanted to use a photo of an apple orchard in my blog banner, but by the time I decided I wanted to do that it was late November and apple orchards in Ohio were really not very pretty. My friend, Jean, came to my rescue and handpainted my banner for me. Her watercolor work is beyond beautiful and she is amazingly talented.
-
• My Sister – Andrea: She has been such a help to me throughout this whole process…whether I needed her to look something over to get her input about it or if I needed to find a beautiful font that was perfect for me (amongst the millions and bajillions of fonts available on the internet.) Thank you for all you do for me Drew…I love ya!
