I Heart Faces • Summer Moments

This week at I Heart Faces is a non-competition week but we are still inviting participants to link in their “My Story in Photos” with a theme of sharing our summer moments.

With the work involved with IHF and now the sessions I am doing for Angie Arthur Photography, I have begun to notice a drastic decrease in the amount of times that I pull out my camera to capture the little family moments that I used to be so good about photographing.

I think it’s because of the amount of editing I need to get done for my business.  When I add folder upon folder of hundreds of “everyday moment” type of photos to my computer…

I found myself beginning to get extremely overwhelmed.

And so I just stopped shooting those moments for awhile.
This began to bother me quite a bit a few weeks ago and so I made myself pick up my camera again daily…not for a planned photo session but just to capture the little things.  I did this because…

1) I believe strongly that it is extremely important to do so; and

2) They truly are my very favorite types of images of all.   Those are the moments I want to remember forever.

All of these photos are from one of those moments in time…just a simple summer evening we spent together as a family down at the small river that runs through our neighbor’s property.

One of our very favorite things to do on a beautiful summer evening.

Hop on over to share your summer moments at  I Heart Faces this week…
