“Bubbles” Photo Challenge Theme

This week’s theme was a toughie for me…which is ridiculous because a) I have four children and b) several of them are still in the “I love bubbles!!” stage.

The problem was I waited until the last minute (dang it.) Then I finally found a huge tub of bubbles in the garage, but all of the wands were gone. All of them! Don’t laugh…but I finally found a racket ball hitter-thingy (a racket ball racket?) and we improvised and made that into our bubble wand.

It really didn’t work that well but a girl has to do what a girl has to do.

So I roped Weslea into being my model (thank goodness for that little white sundress we use all the time) and Will into being my photographer’s assistant (ie. the bubble maker) and an hour later I had a few shots I liked…out of the 261 shots I took.

I’m really loving the vintage/seventies/nostalgia look right now so that’s what I went for in my entry. To see more of my photography attempts from this shoot, just click here.

“In all our quest of greatness, like wanton boys, whose pastime is their care, we follow after bubbles, blown in the air.” ~John Webster

Thank goodness for kids that I can bully into doing photo shoots with me. And DOUBLE thank goodness that they actually like doing it so I really don’t have to bully them at all. 🙂

Looking forward to seeing all of your creativeness this week (I can’t wait to see what you all came up for with the theme of “bubbles.” This one can be taken so many different ways!)

{As always, as co-founder of I Faces, I can’t actually win the contest but I like to enter for fun anyway…blah, blah, blah…hee!}

Oh yeah, did I mention that I’m going to Dallas in a few months?! Ya just gotta join me there…ya gotta!! 🙂
