The Butterfly Garden.

On our Photography Drive to the Franklin Conservatory in Columbus, the main attraction for us was the “Blooms & Butterflies” event that is going on from now until September.

My new blog banner photo was taken while we were there admiring the butterflies…

You start out by viewing the newest additions through a window to the butterfly nursery…

And then move on to the Pacific Island Water Garden where the new butterflies are released each day at 1 and 3 PM.

As you can imagine, we spent quite a bit of time in that room!

When I returned home and uploaded my photos, I was disappointed that some of them were blurred a bit…until I figured out this little trick. When my photos are blurred, I can deliberately give them a more artsy/grungy look and then the blur seems to work. I’m liking this look a lot!

Tomorrow’s post will probably feature the beautiful flowers I was able to photograph while I was there (it was so good to finally see some color in Ohio!!) or the amazing glass sculptures…I can’t decide which. They were all so beautiful!

{Sidenote: Weston is doing so much better now. He still has difficult times but seems to be adjusting to the medication very well. The rash by his eye is doing much better as well so I’m not quite so worried about the risk of infection there now. Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and prayers. They were very much appreciated!}
