Celebrating…Spiders??

Yesterday was purty gosh-darn fun. Bill got in really late on Wednesday night so he ended up taking a “stay-at-home” day on Thursday which enabled me to spend the day with my sisters (without any of my kids!!) going yard saling. Being the strange sisters that we are, we find great enjoyment in driving around Medina every Thursday looking through other people’s junk to find completely wonderful treasures for ourselves. Janine and Andrea hit the mother-lode in finding beautiful, name-brand clothes for their kids. I was a little more selfish and found some nice stuff for….ME. 🙂

I got home right before Bill came back from picking up the kids from school. When they arrived home they all came running in and Wyatt was yelling “Mom! Look at the hat I made at school!!!”

Me: “Wow Wyatt! Did you make that at school today? That’s really cool!”

Wyatt: “Yep ~ we are studying about spiders and I got to make a spider hat!”

(This is when my politically incorrect, slightly irreverant hubby decided to slip into the conversation.)

Daddy: “Huh…really? Here I thought you were celebrating Rosh Hashanah.”

I hate to admit this, but…I must be politically incorrect and slightly irreverant as well. I found Bill’s observation to be quite hysterical after I looked at Wyatt’s hat a second time. After several minutes, I managed to settle myself down a bit.

I’m thinking that if our friend, Kevin in Louisville, is reading this….he’s probably finding it pretty funny as well. Bill found his “humor twin” in Kevin as they both seem to have the exact same, completely identical, twisted sense of humor. (Hi Kevin!!)
