Easter Sunday

Easter started on Saturday for us with decorating the eggs and then we spent quite a bit of time listening to Bill read the Resurrection Story to us from a beautiful picture book that good friends gave us years ago.

Bill fell asleep early on Saturday night, so I got to be the Easter Bunny this year. Weslea had informed me that she hoped that the Easter Bunny would hide her basket in a really hard place this year, so I tried to help her out with that. I thought it would take her forever to find hers and the little brat found hers right away! I’ll have to put my thinking cap on for next year’s hiding place. 🙂

The kids spent the morning finding their baskets and then oohing and aahing over their goodies. They were just a “little” excited about their baskets. Weston kept yelling “This is the best Easter EVER mom….in all the world!”

The kids were too excited to sit down for breakfast so they ate whenever they got a free moment. Here is our decorated Easter table and the yummy egg casserole we make for holidays:

After church, we posed for our annual family pictures (blech!) Why do I do that to myself every year?! I snapped a bunch of pics of the kids and then of the cousins together that I’ll post separately.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter with your family as well. Happy Resurrection Day!
