This & That…

I’ve been a bad, bad blogger lately….100 lashes with a wet noodle for me! My only excuse is the same old one I always use ~ we are insanely, crazily busy this summer.

Let’s see…

Last Thursday and Friday were consumed with my annual Stampin’ Up New Catalog Kick-Off event. I held it on two different evenings this year at mom and dad’s house. Medina is a much more convenient location for most of my customers and my parent’s new basement is perfect for stamping events! My customers were very impressed with the work Pat did when he finished the basement for them…my brother-in-law shut down his framing business this year and has gone into remodeling (which he is awesome at!) Hopefully my stamping events there might even get him some new customers as well.

Saturday — Swimming, T-Ball, and Camping… The kids absolutely love their “membership” (as they call it) that we have at Pier-Lon campgrounds and ask everyday if they can go to their “membership” to go swimming. They went almost everyday last week and then Bill took them on Saturday morning. I stayed home to clean some for the Bible study we have on Sunday nights. When they got home, I took Weslea to her T-ball game (she won!) and then came home so Bill could set up our tent in the woods. We all went out to the woods for awhile to sit around the campfire and then I brought Weston back to the house when it starting getting dark out. Let me tell you, campfires are absolutely no fun at all with a 2-year old!

Sunday — Church, Cleaning, and Cottage Meeting… We got up early for church, came home where I cleaned some more all day and Bill worked on the yard. That evening we had the last Cottage Meeting that we were hosting for our church. We had a fun time with Janine & Pat (and kids), Pete & Ashley, and Michelle & Russ (and kids.) Other than cleaning the house every Sunday (which I hated!) it was a nice change from the normal Sunday evening routine.

Monday — MORE CLEANING!!!!, Gymnastics, Baseball, and VBS Decorating… I’M SICK AND TIRED OF CLEANING! It seems like all I do is clean and then the house is still dirty. When I was at mom’s on Thursday, I told her that I couldn’t imagine what’d it be like to have a clean house (like hers) all the time. She said that it will come sooner than I’ll like ~ that it seemed like just yesterday when we were all sitting around the table eating dinner together with her and dad. A great reminder to enjoy the time of life that we are in at this moment. Will and Weslea helped me go through some toys in the playroom today and we collected three boxes of toys that we are going to donate to Goodwill. They don’t realize it, but at least twice that amount will actually be going to Goodwill! 🙂 They did a good job parting with toys that are rarely played with though. This evening was hectic to say the least. Weslea had gymnastics in Elyria at 5:30 and a T-ball game at 6:30 in Westfield, Will had a game at 6:30 in Lodi and then there was VBS Decorating at the church at 7:00. Weslea’s game got cancelled due to the huge rain storm we had today so that helped out a little.

Blogger is being a stinker tonight about posting pictures. I’ll try to post a cute picture I took of Weslea on Thursday night sometime in the future.

Now you know why I haven’t been a good blogger lately…
