Wyatt's Preschool Party

Wow ~ it’s hard to believe that Wyatt is finished with his first year of preschool. I’m so proud of the progress he has made with his speech and behavior! His teacher was really wonderful with the kids and helped them so much this year.

She had a small party for the children today and parents were invited to attend. We both enjoyed spending the morning together. When I walked in the door, he was so happy to see me. He kept turning around to give me this shy/proud look ~ he sure knows how to melt his mommy’s heart…

She had the children go through the daily Circle Time for us ~ Wyatt was excited to participate and show off a little bit. Here he is putting his name up on the name board….

Anytime there was downtime during Circle Time, Wyatt looked like this… He makes me so proud sometimes (!)

Each child got to count through the numbers 1-10 for the audience ~ Wyatt did great with this…

After the eating part of the party (Wyatt loved his taco!) each child got to have freeplay time before they went home. Wyatt (of course) chose the dinosaurs. Here is showing me the “mean dinosaur” that is eating the “baby dinosaur”……….really nice thought Wyatt………

When we got home, Wyatt took a bath with the octopus that his teacher let him bring home. It starts off about 3 inches long and then grows the longer it is put in water. She found them at WalMart in the seasonal aisle for 88 cents! Wyatt fell in love with the octopus and kept asking if he could bring it home ~ she was planning to throw it away anyway so Wyatt is now in heaven and keeps carting the slimy thing around.
