Does “Elf on the Shelf” visit your home? This was the first year that he made an appearance at our home and we are having a blast getting to know Ollie and seeing what antics he’s been up to after we wake up each morning.

The evening we set up our Christmas tree he arrived with his storybook and by the next morning he had toilet papered our Christmas. On the second morning we discovered that he had turned our milk green!

Since then he’s taken over our basketball game making slam dunks…

Got into the candy canes (which he kindly decided to share with the kids)…

Replaced all of our new stockings with undies…

Created a “sugar” angel…

Hid in our cupboard…

And raided the candy jar.

Even our black lab, Willow, is obsessed with him (as you can see from the bite marks in poor Ollie’s head!)

Due to Willow’s excessive show of love, the “don’t touch Ollie or he might lose his magic!” rule quickly changed to “only mom can touch Ollie each day to move him safely back to the top of the Christmas tree out of Willow’s reach!”
Ollie has added a LOT of fun to our Christmas this year and I know I’ll be sharing more of his silliness soon.
This post was added to Tidymom’s I’m Lovin’ It.

So wish we had an elf on the shelf when the kids were small. Unfortunately, he was unknown to us but I am enjoying seeing what he’s doing in your home!
I’m SO glad I discovered him while two of my boys still believe…it’s been so much fun! My two older kids have been awesome “elf helpers” helping Ollie get into all sorts of trouble.
Love, love, love!!!
{PS…you’ll never guess what cookies I’m posting tomorrow.}
I can’t wait to see them Bridget…I’m sure they’ll be absolutely adorable!
I loved the idea of the Elf on the Shelf but every time I went to Target they were out. So I grabbed an elf that I had laying around and decided since Emma is only 5 months old she wouldn’t even notice
But I wanted to start the tradition with her now, so looks like we will be sticking with this elf I have {it was my grandmothers} and getting the book later
Good for you Mandy! I really wish I had known about “Elf on the Shelf” a long time ago. It’s been super fun!

I love them all Angie! My favorite has to be the one of him hiding under the glass. Soooo adorable!
Kim
<3 my favorite is the first one with the book! and I love the processing on it, how did you do it?
and I think our 'Twinkle' might hide in our cabinet under glass next, lol.
we also have the rule of only mom can touch him and move him back out of reach of 2 year old hands!
Im also going to make an elf breakfast w/ spaghetti and syrup, etc like on the movie Elf. He has already brought mini elf doughnuts.
I love the one of him in the glass! Too funny.
Hilarious. Completely hilarious! I love the wackiness of every picture! You are one creative lady. I mean…Ollie is one mischievious elf.
I’m picturing a book about of all of Ollie’s adventures. Hmmm…something for you to think about. (As if you don’t have enough to do.)

Great photography! I think I’ve seen some of these pictures or similar pictures at http://www.ShelfTheElf.com
I do consider all the ideas you’ve presented on your post. They’re really convincing and can definitely work. Still, the posts are too short for novices. May just you please prolong them a bit from next time? Thank you for the post.
