A Birthday Non-Surprise.

The man walked over to the perfume counter and told the clerk he’d like a bottle of Chanel No. 5 for his wife’s birthday.

“A little surprise, eh?” smiled the clerk.

“You bet!” answered the customer. “She’s expecting a cruise.”

Hee! For some reason, I think I’m going to be the wife receiving her birthday non-surprise tonight instead of the “cruise” I really wanted. Such is life…right? 🙂

It’s been a fun birthday so far. The kids sang four different versions of “Happy Birthday” to me this morning. I’ve received birthday greetings galore via Facebook and Twitter (I seriously never knew how fun a birthday could be until I was on Facebook and Twitter!) Even the neighbor kids remembered it was my birthday when I picked them up for the drive to school today.

I’m celebrating the rest of my “Forever 29 Day” by volunteering at school most of the day (Will and Weslea both have their end-of-the-year picnics that Weston and I are going to help at. Poor Wyatt is just a little bit perturbed that he’s not having a picnic today too.) I also found out that Sweatiepy might be home from his business trip much earlier tonight than I originally thought. So, instead of the kids and I going on a date night alone to see Night At The Museum tonight, the dad might be joining us as well. Yay!

There might also be a small giveaway on the I Faces site today too. {hint, hint!}

So, have any of you ever received a non-surprise for your birthday instead of the “cruise” you really wanted? Do share in the comments section below. Maybe you can make me feel better about the lens I probably won’t be getting…
