“Blurb Photo Book Contest”

The weeks seem to be getting more and more fun at I Faces. This week Amy and I will be choosing the winning photos (oh boy – am I ever nervous about that one!) that will be featured in our first ever I Faces Blurb Photo Book.

There are extra guidelines to follow for this special contest, so be sure to read them all before you enter your photo this week. We want every single person to qualify for this week’s contest for sure!

The main thing to remember is that you can only enter one photo into one category (Professionals or Amateurs/Beginners) this week. I’ll be entering mine into both just so that people will have an example of what to follow…but other participants should make sure that they only enter one category.

So, here is one of my very favorite face photos…a photo I took of my daughter, Weslea, while I was trying out my sister 50mm 1.4 lens for the first time. It was the set of series of photos that I took that night in December that convinced that I had to have that lens for myself. I just loved it!

Her perfectly clear brown eyes, the cute little smirk on her pretty face and the yummy bokeh make this one of my favorite photos!

(I’m such a dork…I love bokeh so much that I forgot that there might be others who have no idea what the term even means. Basically, it’s a photography term that describes the fuzzy background the can be achieved in some photos. Or, if you want the real definition, you can check out this link.)

Now, make sure that you put this disclaimer in your post as well so that we will know that we have your permission to use your photo in our book:

I am submitting this photo into the www.iheartfaces.com Blurb book photo contest. If chosen, I grant I Faces permission to use my photo in a printed version of a book for commercial use and possibly advertising of a photo book on both the Blurb and I Faces web sites.

Best wishes to you all!
